Why Is My Internet Connection So SlowWhen your Internet connection is slow even though you have a high-speed connection, there is a strong chance that you may need to run an anti-virus program and a registry cleaner because this may be caused by a virus, spyware or adware.

Another reason that your browser may be sluggish in its response is that you have never erased your browsing history and the various cookies that are created when you visit websites.

Of course, you do not need your registry cleaner and anti-malware program for this one.

You will only have to erase your browsing history and cookies by using the appropriate feature in your web browser.

Another possible reason that will not require the anti-malware program and registry cleaner is that your browser settings have been modified erroneously or the browser may no longer be up-to-date. All you have to do is to download the latest update for your browser, uninstall the old version, and then install the latest version.

After ensuring that you have the latest edition for your browser and that the cookies and browsing history have been erased, and you are still experiencing a slow Internet connection, it is time to run the anti-malware program and the registry cleaner.

Malware programs, such as Trojans and spyware, try to download other files and send messages through your Internet connection. Thus, this could swamp your connection resulting into a sluggish Internet experience. This problem will require the anti-malware program and registry cleaner.

It is important to perform a complete scan of all hard drives and other computer storage devices that may contain malware. After the scan and the removal of the viruses, Trojans and other malware programs, you can then run the registry cleaner to make sure that the modifications that have been made by the malware are cleaned from the Registry.

It would be advisable to make sure that your anti-malware program and registry cleaner are capable of handling adware and spyware. These two kinds of programs have the tendency to damage the Registry and to slow down the Internet connection.

It is also important to ensure that your registry cleaner and anti-virus program are not infected themselves. Try to check if they are really effective and that they do not contain malicious files.
