RegSweep is another reliable registry cleaning program you can currently find on the Internet. Its basic features and additional options are effective enough, in comparison to the many registry repair solutions available on the market.
RegSweep’s features and capabilities include the typical backup and restore options, quick system scanning, startup management, all accessed via an intelligible program interface.
After installing and launching the RegSweep utility, it will display the aforementioned ‘clean’ interface, which shows the following options: Backup, Manage Startup, Settings, and Scan. The Scan panel allows you to activate the scan option, which looks for the usual registry errors by default. You can also customize your system scans via checkboxes, which you can mark or unmark to get better control and maneuverability.
RegSweep allows you to identify a wider range of registry entries compared to similar competing products. On our test computer, we selected all available scanning options and activated the Scan button. The entire process took almost one minute to examine the Windows registry, which makes the program’s scanning time the fastest among all the products we have reviewed.
RegSweep shows the user a screen for the scan results, with each registry entry having its own checkbox. A user will also see the number of erroneous items identified by the program. The checkboxes permit you to fix the items you have selected, which may range from a few chosen entries to all the errors found. However, you have to buy the full RegSweep version if you wish to repair your registry. Purchasing the full version is simple and hassle-free. Before RegSweep fixes any errors, it will create a backup of all pertinent data in case you wish to revert to the older registry for any reason whatsoever.
This allows you to go back to earlier versions, right before the scanning and repairing process. RegSweep’s Manage Startup feature gives the user control over the number of programs that run at the boot-up process. Choosing the said programs can free up much-needed system resources, and highly improve system performance. The Settings panel for the program lets the user choose the programs he or she wishes to scan as well, as soon as the system starts up to get up to speed with any updates.
Overall, the RegSweep registry repair tool is a robust utility which solves any system performance issues quickly and easily. The money-back guarantee that comes with purchase of the product is also a draw, although we do not expect any users to take advantage of it, as it is comparable to renowned tools such as Error Nuker and RegClean in terms of general usability. We have ranked RegSweep at #6 in our list of the top 8 most popular registry cleaners.
